The Troop's annual Junior Leader Training Trip took place on March 20-22. It was open to all members of our Leaders Group (First Class Scouts and higher). This year we went to the Carter Notch Hut in the White Mountains. The hike in involved snow shoeing about 4 miles to an altitude of 3,288 to get to the hut.
After getting settled, the scouts participated in a "Team Mission Event" where teams of scouts were given a scenario that required them to build a secret camp, capture prisoners, construct an emergency stretcher and carry a team member to safety. Congratulations to the Red team on winning the Mission. Red team Members Lee A, Gabe B, Joey D, Charlie S and Nick M.
This is one of our most demanding trips of the year but also one of the most exciting.
